Summary: "This review looked at how treatment in a stroke unit compares with treatment in a general medical ward. We looked at 11 studies involving 2,268 participants and found that patients who receive care in a stroke unit are more likely to survive and less likely to need long-term care. They also have shorter hospital stays"--Page 6.
