Summary: In 2004 the Conference received a feasibility study addressing the need for reform of the two related branches of provincial and territorial law generally referred to as fraudulent conveyances and fraudulent preferences. The goal of the project is the production of a uniform Act suitable for adoption across the country, recognizing that adjustments may be required in Quebec to achieve an appropriate interface with other elements of the province's distinctive legal system. The project was divided into two parts, Part 1 addressing fraudulent conveyances and Part 2 addressing fraudulent preferences.
